What we’ve done

Job training
Since 2019 we have been helping women in silent poverty. These are single mothers who have been isolated from society by not being able to work. Most of these women lacking independence from government assistance, their main need is to be able to work, and gain a certificate so they can be reintegrated. For them, having small children, it’s most important to train them for a trade they can do on their own time. With Paul Smith as their sowing and needling instructor, hundreds of women in the Netherlands can now work in this field and even make things for their own house/family that helps them save money and secure their future back in the ranks of society. We also help them create CV’s and help them with other problems they may have trying to find a job.

Leisure
Next to helping women get ready for the job market we also help women socialise with other single mothers through group counselling, and arts and crafts, helping them fight depression and lonelyness. In these sessions they share tips about parenting, co-habitating, and other issues.

After 6 years we have now changed the structure for this project from being government funded to privately funded. Donations are welcome!
